The Atonement
The Atonement is the central theme both of Scripture and Christianity. Sinful man could never reach a perfect and holy God, so in his great love for his greatest creation God provided his own path back to fellowship between man and God. God sent forth his son, made of a woman, made under the law.
The Atonement measures God's love for man
- The depth of God's love- He spared not his own Son.
- The breadth of God's love- He loves all humanity.
- The length of God's love- His love is from everlasting to everlasting
